Well, that's it, the 2008 festival finished on a high on Saturday - it was an amazing week and we hope that everyone who came along had a great time. Dates for the next festival have just been confirmed as 6 - 14 March 2009. The website for 2009 festival will go live towards the end of 2008. See you next year!

We had an awesome line-up for February, including the first-ever UK Slacklining Masters Contest, outspoken kayaking legend Corran Addison, mountaineer Kenton Cool, the Scottish premiere of US mountain-biking film Klunkerz, legendary expedition films and so much more!

 

Hamish MacInnes was named as the first recipient of the new Scottish Award for Excellence in Mountain Culture on Saturday 23 February, 2008.

Hamish MacinniesWe are pleased to announce that the patron of our festival is Hamish MacInnes. Hamish has lived in nearby Glencoe for most his life and is a world-renowned climber. An innovator and pioneer - Hamish was at the forefront of developing new standards and techniques in climbing, mountain rescue and the development of climbing equipment.
