Open Art Exhibition - open every evening 6-7pm and during the evening interval.

Childrens Art Exhibition - open every evening 6-10pm in the Nevis Centre rear studio.

The Open Art Exhibition and The People's Choice Original Art Competition will run from Saturday 7th until Saturday the 14th March 2009 at the Nevis Centre Festival Theatre, Fort William.

The opening reception including wine and nibbles will be at 6pm on Saturday 7th March, where everyone is welcome. The exhibition will then be open each evening of the festival from 6 - 7pm at the festival theatre and during any intermissions.

Come along and look around the stunning images and works of art on display. There will be original artworks from many local and national artists along with the best mountain photography to be found.

• Work will be available for sale.
• Disabled access to exhibition.

We'd love as many people as possible to exhibit their work in the exhibition. Closing date for entering your artwork is 13th February 2009.

This year the festival is excited to announce that The People's Choice Original Art Competition will be held in conjunction with the Open Art and Photography exhibitions in 2009. It promises to be an exciting and intriguing part of the festival. Each artist exhibiting in the Open Art Exhibition (any mountain themed artwork in any medium) is asked to nominate one piece of their own exhibited artwork for the public visiting the exhibition to vote on as their favourite via a ballot box. There will be an overall cash prize of £200 as well as a junior category prize of £50.

An additional prize of the opportunity to be part of a Spring or Summer exhibition at the acclaimed Resipole Studios will be judged by Andrew Sinclair and announced at the opening reception. All artists are invited to the opening reception to be held on Saturday 7th March 6pm to 7pm.
